Got creative with leftover turkey, made a turkey pot pie casserole, courtesy of my grandma’s easy recipe! #food #foodielove #turkeypotpie #dinnermadeEasy
This wine is amazing! I’m still trying to get used to the taste of red wine (i’m typically a fruity/sweet drink kind of gal) but this red is so smooth! It has a velvety chocolate sort of taste, and definitely isn’t tough for a newbie red wine drinker. It’s a red wine blend , the label describes it as having the brambly spice of zinfandel, the dark fruit flavors of Syrah, the bold notes of Cabernet Sauvignon, and the smooth elegance of merlot .
Happy Drinking! I mean, Happy Holidays! haha =]

Reflecting. When you find something authentic, you fight for it. It’s hard to find a love that’s real. Authentic doesn’t mean it’s always perfect, in fact it rarely is. But finding real love isnt easy to come by. The struggle to find it becomes the fight to keep it. That’s how worth it love is. You search for it your whole life, you treasure it, you brag about it, you live it, you feel it, you even hate it at times. Everyday you live to keep love strong. And if it ever feels like the love you found is not all of the above, is not conpletely worth your life, then you may decide to walk away. But if through it all, the love you have is still worth your life, remind yourself of just that. Stay. Work on it. And love hard. Love bears all things, hopes all things, love endures all things. Love never fails. #love
Some of my new favorite products!
(from left to right) FREEMAN Facial Clay Mask Avocado & Oatmeal, Vitamin E Oil, Organix Moroccan Curling Perfection Defining Cream, Shea Moisture Coconut & Hibiscus Curl & Style Milk.
Today I will feature the clay mask. which I found on a random trip to CVS. The brand is FREEMAN, and I have to say I love it! CVS had a buy 2 for $6 deal on these masks, so I bought two kinds (the other not pictured). The mask washes off pretty easily and really left my face feeling fresh and smooth. It’s recommended to use this mask twice a week, or as needed. I typically use Sundays for personal beauty days, so this seems to be perfect for an at-home facial.
Oatmeal and avocado in general are great for the skin. Oatmeal helps get rid of dead skin cells and irritation and it really does leave the skin feeling soft. Both are great for dry skin, and because of the healthy, lubricating fats in each, the skin feels highly moisturized after use on the skin.
I’ve been using the mask for about two weeks now, and I definitely have noticed more clarity in my skin. I’m just glad this new skin regime has not had any adverse effects, especially so close to my wedding! ah! *nerves kicking in*
Anyway, happy Sunday!
This may not look like much, but this mid day snack is fantastic!!! It’s a homemade thai chicken and quinoa bowl I prepared last night. It’s so simple and flavorful. Make Thai sauce using coconut milk, creamy peanut butter, soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, red pepper flakes, hoisin or chili sauce, ginger, lime juice and garlic (this all sounds crazy but I promise, it’s good!). Whisk together and add to cooked quinoa. Stir in chicken, edamame, carrots, green onions. Serve!
